New Geomatics Engineering scholarships
The Educational Foundation of the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors (AOLS) has approved for York U’s Geomatics Engineering program 2 new entrance awards of $1,000 each.
  
The existing awards have been revised as well to: 2 third year awards of $1000 each, 2 fourth year awards of $1000 each and the H. Reinthaler award of $1000. The total amount of the AOLS awards for our students is $7000 per year. The new entrance awards will complement any other award/scholarship that the students may receive. The aim of the 2 new entrance awards is to attract high caliber students to our Geomatics Engineering program.

The Association of Ontario Land Surveyors (AOLS) was established in 1892. It is a self-governing association, responsible for the licensing and governance of professional land surveyors, in accordance with the Surveyors Act, the regulations and the by-laws in order that the public interest may be served and protected. The AOLS Educational Foundation is a registered charity that was formed in 1973 to provide support for post-secondary Geomatics students who have attained high academic achievement and possess evident characteristics of leadership.
 
GE_YorkUThe Geomatics Engineering program at York University was established in 2001. It is one of the four Engineering programs at York University. It is the only 4-year Geomatics Engineering program in Ontario and one of the four Geomatics Engineering programs in Canada. It offers BASc, MSc and PhD degrees. The Geomatics Engineering undergraduate program is accredited by: the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) and the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors (AOLS). A graduate of the program is eligible to register as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada and as an Ontario Land Surveyor (O.L.S.).
